ARTIST STATEMENT
Working mostly digitally with graphic design and motion graphics, my pieces often use bright, thought-out color schemes with an emphasis on using color theory to add to my overall idea. A lot of my work revolves around finding an appealing hook or idea and then building a brand and world around that through colors, shapes, and often retro styles. Many of my logos and symbols use hand drawn or handwritten type and elements. The same goes for any of my posters or advertisements. These are often accompanied by a border that ties everything together. My projects often have some connection to music, and more specifically, bands and performers. Whether it is a piece I am making for a musician or a piece that requires me to use my connection to rhythm, flow, and punctuation to complete, there is always a hint of music in my work.
